We've been surrounded by ladies ladies and more ladies every time we're in a Cosplay Convention. We've been mesmerized by their kawaii-ness, superb beauty and talent. Then we just found our selves having a nosebleed everytime a girl cosplayer walks in front of us or taking some pose for our cameras. But tell me the truth Guys! I'm Sure because of those cuties, We don't even notice the Boys who are greatly cosplying but still had a minimal of attention from us.
Let this next cosplayer take you back to the real meaning of cosplay! Where Physical image of a cosplayer is not the only attribute to win in a Cosplay event, but the good costume and skits that dominates the floor! Behold! He's making his way into the world of Cosplay!
Meet
Koko Monsod, 21 years old Former Cosplayer from
Caloocan. His first exposure at a cosplay event was
November 08 2008 at UP AME held at UP campus Bahay ng Alumni building. Together with her former groupmates who always grabbing him, he had a chance to visit more cosplay conventions like TAGCOM, Shizen Orchestra and Domination III. But the most unforgettable cosplay convention for him is the
Otaku Taiki '09 Held at SM Megamall Megatrade hall.
He also said that it was his first time to join a cosplay competition because most of the time he was just an spectator. "First time ko yun sumali kasama yung mga kaibigan ko. Pero kami pa yung nanalo sa group cosplay.". After that competition, he stop joining and didn'tcosplay again with his former cosplay group. It made some questions in my mind. Why does he have to stop cosplaying? That's why I manage to ask some questions to him.

Q: What is your first impression in Cosplay?
A: COSPLAY?. .ano siya eh. .cguro meaning nun COSTUME PLAY. .di ako sure eh. .iba kasi COST PLAY ung kanila eh. .kaya nalilito ako. .
Q: What was the first cosplay convention you attended?
A: UP AME 2008 sa may UP(ngayon lang naman nging makati ung UP AME eh) syempre. .bahay ng alumni. masaya naman un. .mainit ..nakakauhaw. .1st time ko un kaya medyo sabik pa ako kung ano makikita ko dun. .
Q: For your own opinion, What is the difference between Cosplay and Costume party?
A: COSPLAY at COSTUME PARTY?. .spelling tsaka mas mahaba ung costume party. .joke lang.. hahaha ..(pre,kanya kanyang opinion nman toh dba? .hahaha)WALA SILANG PINAGKAIBA!. .parehas lang silang may ginagayang character. .ang masasabi kong kaibahan nila. .CONTEST ung dun sa cosplay. .syempre. .PARTY at FOR FUN ung cos
Q: What was the first character you cosplayed?
A: IPIS. Hindi ko alam kung cosplay ba yung ganun! Original Character kasi. .
Q: You were a former member of a cosplay group who won last August 23 at Otaku Taiki '09. Can you share some of your experience there?
A: Wala naman. .sakto lang. .kakaiba kasi 1st time ko lang ginawa un. .iba pala feeling pag naging cosplayer kahit papaano. .kahit once ko lang gagawin un. .bday kasi ng kabarkada ko un eh. .un na ung gift ko. .di naman ako nahiya kasi wala naman ako pakialam sa mga taong andun eh ..un lang. .
Q: Does anyone on your group before made you feel like "Man, I don't belong here" that made you Quit?
A: Wala naman. .takot lang niya pag ginawa niya un sa amin. .tsaka. .tropa kami .walang ganun sa tropa namin. .kaya the best kami eh. !

A: OO!pero past is past. .kalimutan nalang un. .nagkaayos naman na eh. .pero mabait ako ah!!!
Q: Does cosplaying changed your life?
A: di naman masyado. .cguro nung araw lang na un nabago ung buhay ko. .pero pumupunta pa din ako pag may event. .na feel ko maging sikat kahit papaano. .nanalo pa kami,kahit ganun lang costume namin un. .pero di ko makakalimutan ung cosplay na ung ginawa namin. .
Q: If you were given a chance, Would you like to go back into cosplaying again?
A: di ko alam. .mahirap magsalita ng tapos. .kung mapagtripan ko. .o di kaya maisipan ko lang. .di ko naman kasi pangarap maging cosplayer eh. .pero masaya naman cguro. .ung manonood nga lang nakakapagod na. .pano pa kaya ung ikaw na ung mismong pinapanood dba?. .
Q: Who is your Favorite Cosplayer?
A: wala eh. di ko matandaan. .pero marami akong gusto!!
Q: What can you say or advice about those new cosplayers who wants to be a champion like you?
A: MAG COSPLAY KAYO UNG ALAM NIYONG KAYA NYONG DALHIN,SYEMPRE GUSTO NIYO NAMAN MAGING SIKAT KAYO AT WALANG NEGATIVE NA COMMENTS!MAGING MALAKAS LANG LOOB!MATIYAGA TUMAYO WALANG UPUAN DUN Eh!FRIENDS DIN. .DAPAT MAY MGA FRIENDS KA. .! WAG MO ISIPIN NA MANANALO KA SA CONTEST. .BASTA HAVE FUN LANG!! BE YOURSELF!UNG TIPONG WALA KANG NASASAKTAN O NATATAPAKAN SA GINAGAWA MO! UN LANG!
