A new breed of Cosplayers have arrived here in our planet. They're ready to conquer the Cosplay scene and ready to kick those people's ass who doesn't respect their existance!
Friend or Foe? That is the BIG Question in my mind before. We usually find people or other cosplay fanatics who really loves the Philippine's Cosplay Goddess, But now, I found a person who doesn't like the views of some people in cosplaying.
Meet Aiko 17 years old, Cosplayer from Makati.
According to her, She started cosplaying since 2006. She was 14 years old then.
As I go deeper to understand her views in this biz of cosplaying, I found out that "for her", Cosplayers should not be called as Models. Her rationale? "Models are getting paid, cosplayers are just hobbyist.

To know more about her, I manage to ask her some questions regarding to her views in cosplaying. Good thing she says OK and here's my interview.Q:Ms.Aiko, When did you started cosplaying?
A:Since 2006 and I think I was just.. 14..
and I forgot what event was that.. haha!
Q:haha! Ok Aiko! Who introduced you or motivated you to do cosplaying?
A:Maybe, my love to Anime,Manga, & Games... At first I really didn't know that "cosplay" existed. until I went to an anime convention. HATAW HANEP HERO 200

cosplayers and photographer are really well mannered

A:A lot.
Hindi nga magawa ng iba ung simpleng "thank you"
If a photographer took a pic of me I'll say "thank you"
If a cosplayer pose for him/her a simple thank you will do.
AND ALSO... natatawa nalang ako sa mga cosplayers na...
kahit yung costume.. hindi pinapakita yung puson..
may nakita ba kayong C.C. na labas ang puson? haha.. I really don't get cosplayers these days.
And also.. JPOP,JROCK,LOLITAS or any fashions are not cosplay.. unless you're cosplaying like ASAGI.. SHOU.. etc.
Q:Looks like a lot of people makes you upset, What can you say about those people who makes you feel uneasy?
A:Ohai, did you heard... attention whores?

basta ako.. enjoy ako sa cosplay life with real friends.
Q:Ok, Back to Cosplaying. Does Cosplaying change your life?
A:A BIG YES.
Why? w/o meeting new kinds of people.. siguro hindi magiging ako yung ako ngayon.
and I found out my hidden talents..
marunong pala ako magtahi..marunong pala ako mag act.. like that blahblah..
I even made friends online to other countries! like yuuchul from Canada, Lauly from Spain,Yolkler from Thailand and Allenisya from Malaysia. Thank you MSN.

kasi mostly sa mga cosplayers.. ang tingin nila ang cosplay is for fame.

i really just hate those people showing skins or cosplaying a daring character tapos hindi pala nila alam ung character nila! my God!

A:I know more better cosplay idols rather than Alodia..

Yolkler is a thailand cosplayer
Rainertachibana/ Shizuku is a singaporean cosplayer)

Arisa Mizuhara though.. she photoshop a lot and edits her face and body.
Superior cosplayers... they sew their own.. they make their own.. and they know how to portray characters..
Imagine it.. from daring costume.. to.. KICK ASS costume..
from very beautiful character to handsome manly character..
:For the Last Question, If there's one thing you want to Change in the Cosplay industry here in the Philippines, What would that be??
A:The views of cosplay to them.
Q:How will you change it and what way?
A:Parang yung ginawa ko kanina.. i posted the unsaid rules at i will always do the right thing .. Malay mo ma-adopt.. i can't change it ASAP... kasi nasa sarili rin nila yan.
Hindi naman ako ung nagcocontrol sakanila... sila ang gagawa...
Kaya ko lang magremind.
For me, I respect her views and philosophy about the things that majority of us believe in. We have different ideas and rationales of the things we do and say. That ideas are the exact reason why we, people, are different to one another.
