It's been another wonderful year for the Cosplay biz here in the Philippines! There's a lot of cosplay events happening everywhere in the metro. I just recently attended one at SM Mall of Asia last Nov. 8 '09 and it was Fun fun fun!
Cosplay events are not just for teenagers who wants to show their talent in singing (japanese song), dancing and Cosplaying their fave anime characters but it was also for adults, young-adults and kids! It's for the whole family! It brings happiness and enjoyment to every ages.
Because of this, a lot of beautiful and Inteligent ladies who are finding their way into cosplaying are slowly but surely being recognized by the fans and and anime enthusiasts.

There's a new Cosplayer who have been noted as one of the most promising cosplayer of 2009  by the anime enthusiasts.
Good thing I had a chance to have a brief interview of her (and luckily the first to make blog about her)

Her name is  Mayuko Romero, 17 years old from Muntinlupa City.
According to her, She started cosplaying just this year (2009) her first cosplay was at the PCC 2009 and since then, she have been one of the most favorite of the crowd.
When I ask her what was the first character that she cosplayed she said "1st costume? a MAID 1st character:Near.. crossdress.. but failed..ahahha..XD"

"I saw a pretty girl with the fairy costume. That time I was curious about that pretty girl and I wanna know more about her."

Q: Who introduced you or who motivated you to do cosplaying?
A: I really like anime a lot. drawing stuffs like that, and I was motivated to cosplay when I saw people wearing costumes in their fav. character.Especially when I bought k-zone mag I think 2005 issue?, I saw a pretty girl with the fairy costume. That time I was curious about that pretty girl and I wanna know more about her because the details of her costume were good but, I didn’t even know that she was the cosplay goddess Alodia.”

Q: So the person who motivated you is Ms.Alodia?
A:Yes! and she’s really beautiful!..I really like her)

Q: Does cosplaying changed your life?
A: Yup..a lot!

Q: Alot of cosplay enthusiast said that you’re one of the most promising Cosplayer for 2009. What can you say about that?
A: This is a big surprise!

Q: haha! I know you will be suprised! For my last Question, what can you say about your fast-growing-numbers of fans and for those who wants to go into cosplaying?
A: For those who wants to go into cosplaying: Just go for it! If you love what you are doing go and enjoy it! About my fans? Thank you for believing in me!

After my Interview to her, we continued our talk about her hobbies and everything she does as a teenager. In the middle of our conversation she shared something about what had happen last November 8.

“Out of the blue, my friend heard something after we pass through 3 people…what is it? Mayuko:he was laughing and I was just like “eh?what are u laughing at?” and told me that “Di mo ba narinig sinabi nila!?” “kala nila ikaw si Ms. Alodia!” LOLz. She a way beautiful than me and she’s my Idol” said Mayuko.

I believe that this girl can make her name BIG in cosplay Industry. I believe that she can be one of the premiere cosplayers in the Philippines. I believe in her talent. I can’t wait to see her on the spotlight of Cosplay business and seeing her achieving her dreams.
