for everyone
Last September 27 (just after Ondoy drowned Metro Manila) We had our 5th clinical duty for school year 2009-2010.

Sept.26 saturday: At first we're kinda hesitate if there was still a provincial duty for us after the catastrophic rainfall of Ondoy. After I recieved the text message of my classmate confirming that there still a duty, I packed my things up hurridely around 11midnight. But i was still unsure if there is really a duty.

Sept. 27 sunday: It was supprizingly a fine day! I saw the sun rays as it lightens up the sky. But its still brownout. The call time was 7am at NBR building, Regalado (the coordinator said it was sharp) But what's new?

The bus arrived arround 1pm.

We all gathered up to the bus. While our Bossy President of the group ask me to pick-up all of the bags and maletas and put them all inside the bus! woah how was that for another crap! By that time I was done, i was all exhausted and messed-up by the rain. But due to my respect on her I did it with a sarcastic smile.

It was a 3 hours drive alright from Quezon City to Batangas City Proper. Although the rain was still there, the coast was clear still that day. No floods no trash on the streets which made my classmate said "Wow! parang hindi bumagyo ng matindi kahapon ha?!"

We arrived at Batangas around 4:30pm.

Monday and Tuesday had No classes because of the flood left by Ondoy.-And also because of that, We just stayed at the dorm playing cards, telling some stories, while some just had their self a sleep. We also got a chance to buy some stuff at SM batangas and stroll around the city. We had a chance to see some people who speak hard core tagalog!

Sept. 30 Wendsday: It was our Orientation day at Batangas Regional Hospital. It was a big hospital. There were also a huge number of patients there because almost all of the patients from district hospitals of Batangas were refered there.(also becouse of flood.)

Oct.1-2 Thursday&Friday: For our first duty, We were assigned at the OB ward wherein we handled patients who are expiriencing labor pain and post Cesarian session care. We also had pop Quizzes and groupworks plus the reviewed for the postQuiz. but sure it was a good expirience for all of us!

Oct.3-4 Saturday&Sunday: For our 3rd and 4th day of duty, We were assigned at the Emergency Room wherein almost all of the cases are urgent and needs a fast intervention. We had a boy patien aged 8 years old who had a branch of wood in his back! The cool thing is that the boy just laugh at it and he can still say jokes with the doctors and to us nurses! it was kinda wiered! hell yeah! the stick with a length of a mongol pencil is inside him!
We also had quizzes and Case presentation. That makes our duty at Emergency ward duty a toxicated one!
