LOVERAGE 3Feb.13.09
We're always bothered every time we wake-up in the morning knowing it's Friday the 13. We anticipate that in this time of the year there's always a bad thing coming because we believe that that day was full of curse. It's a steriotype-ish belief that many Filipino believe in. But that might not been enough to stop the "rockers" to jump-off their feet to UPfair's LOVERAGE 3.
Early this year, Febuary 13. '09 (Friday), After a Long day of celebrating the OLFU's 41st anniversary held at Rizal memorial stadium. Students manage to continue the fun by going to UP's yearly campus fair. It was a week long event where they invite bands (and Hot ladies too) to fire-up the stage. Everyday has a different event and one of that event is the LOVERAGEBREAK THE CURES by the Pan Xenia Fraternity & Adelfe Crea Sorority.
I also go there and got the chance to enter early with my friends and cousins. The setting of the fair was, If you have a ticket, you have a chance to enter inside the UP sunken garden. It has a walls made in iron sheets (we call it pang-bubong) and 2by2 wood supporting it. it's about 7ft high.
By 6pm (or was it 7pm?) the show started. It was a 3hours alright but as the night goes, the more people want to enter the place. It was jump packed and I swear! it was hot! it was like those LRT or MRT ride!
After a 10 or 20 minutes of fireworks display, the band of Bamboo intruduced on the stage and it made the people crazy. After their first song for the night, the MCs step up on the stage arning that the event will be cut off if the "Gate crushers" will not stop knocking down the walls. It turned out that while we're partying, Those people outside the walls are trying to get in. They started knocking down the walls as if they were zombies trying to get inside the safe area where people hide! after a minute or so, The organizers cut-off the event. All of us who are inside were cursing the "zombies".
"Yan kasi! mga pasaway! akala nyo matutuloy ang event pag nakapasok kayo!?"
To make the story short, LOVERAGE 3 didnt break the cures. It was a short fun but it was a cool expirience though... I really wish that next year it wouldn't be thesame like what happen last Feb13,09.
