Jacob Black & Edward Cullen

In NEW MOON, After months of depression over Edward's leaving, Bella had a nice friendship with Jacob who by the way known as one of an acient line of werewolves, a member of a Quileute tribe that has forever been the mortal enemy of Vampires like Edward. Bella and Jacob's friendship became strong and Jacob develops a romantic feelings with Bella that does not reciprocate.

One night, Jacob begins his first transformation as a werewolf, He begins to be busy for patroling the forest. While hunting for vampires, He saw Bella caught by Laurent alone in the clearing, he saved Bella and he manage to kill Laurent earning for his firstblood.

Bella jumps off the cliff and almost drowns. but Jacob saved her. After the incident, Edward mistakenly believes Bella died, She and his sister, alice, rushed to Italy to stop Edward for killing himself, leaving Jacob hurt and angry.Jacob is irritated and outrage when he learns about Bella's desires to become a vampire. Because of that, Jacob remind to Edward about the treaty of his tribe and Cullen family, Which states that Cullen family is prohbited to create new vampires.
